How it started...

My family is part of a grassroots movement called "slow food."  What this means is that we are interested in learning how to grow our own food, how to grow organically, and how to be a part of sustainable food while supporting the local ecosystem.  Did you know rabbit manure is one of the best manures for your organic garden?  It is a "cold manure," that means it doesn't need to age before being applied.  You can add it to the garden as is and it will naturally break down adding nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, minerals, and lots of micro-nutrients to the soil.

The other component to our start is how our first "house bunny" was a Holland Lop.  We just love this breed so much.  Originally one of us came from a family of registered dog breeders who have had a lot of success in the show ring, combined with our love of agriculture it seemed only natural to take on this hobby, and we love what we do!

Today we are a small family rabbitry professionally breeding Hollands to ARBA breed standard.  We offer pet, brood, and show quality rabbits.  All of our rabbits get a bit of fresh organic food from our garden on a regular basis.  Additionally, we handle all of our rabbits daily so they are use to being held and are interested in bonding with humans.  It is important for us that we offer the best quality of life possible to our rabbits while they are in our care.
